Welcome, Principal Aiello!
Dear Spring Hill Elementary School Parent, Students, and Staff:
It gives me great pleasure to announce that Sarah Aiello, current Assistant Principal at Hutchison Elementary School, has been selected as the new Principal of Spring Hill Elementary School effective August 13, 2018.
Ms. Aiello brings a wealth of knowledge and experiences to the principalship. Over the past 14 years, she has had the opportunity to work as a teacher leader and Assistant Principal in Region 1 and Region 2 schools at both the elementary and middle school levels.
Ms. Aiello has worked collaboratively with teachers and administrators to improve teaching and learning strategies. She has fostered communication and enhanced relationships with parents, staff, and students through consistent communication and feedback and the setting of clear expectations. Ms. Aiello developed Fall and Summer programs that focused on Portrait of a Graduate skills for students in grades 1-6 and led teams on integrating Project-Based Learning opportunities to elevate instruction and student engagement. She has fostered communication and collaboration with parents and community stakeholders through coordinated school events to include Making the Most of Middle School and Internet Safety. At Hutchison Elementary School, Ms. Aiello supervised STEAM, Grades 3-6, Fine Arts, Physical Education, After-School Program, PBIS and Responsive Classroom, Responsive Instruction and Title 1, as well as being the Discipline Lead. As an Assistant Principal at Langston Hughes Middle School, Ms. Aiello supervised Special Education, ESOL, English, Science, and Physical Education.
Ms. Aiello received her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Mercyhurst College and a Master in Education in Educational Leadership from Virginia Tech. Ms. Aiello is thrilled to begin working with the students, staff and families of the Spring Hill Elementary School community.
